You can DIY a modern, elegant wedding on any budget!
We’ve teamed up with Budget Savvy Bride to give our brides to be a little sleek, modern wedding inspiration! We chose black and white which is a classic and traditional color palette. We paired it with gold but it would look perfect with silver, copper or rose gold as well! Black and white are also super easy to maintain throughout all design aspects! Budget Savvy Bride provided us with stunning printables in black and white with classic text to match our elegant calla lilies.
This bouquet is made up of 8 stems of mini white calla lilies. Each calla lily stem costs $4.73, 8 stems total $37.84. Get this look for under $40! Each bunch of mini calla lily has 10 stems which means you have 2 stems leftover for a boutonniere or tablescape decor like we’ve done below.
To create the bouquet, simply arrange 2-3 stems and wrap with floral tape. Continue to build on the original bunch adding a few stems at a time and then securing with floral tape. Once all stems are added and taped together, you can add decorative ribbon to cover the floral tape and the stems to your desire.
To create the boutonniere, simply trim the stem of a mini calla lily to about 2-3 inches. We’ve added 2 stems of lily grass to this boutonniere is a criss-cross fashion. Secure the lily grass to the calla lily stem using floral tape. Then cover the stem with the desired ribbon and use a boutonniere pin to secure.
To create the centerpieces, you will need floral scissors, hot glue, acrylic ice, large open cut calla lilies, and varying glass vases. First, you will want to measure the stems to the height of the specific vase, then cut the stem to fit, you want the top of the flower to hit about 3/4 of the way up the vase. Then you can hot glue the base of the stem to the bottom of the vase, hold in place until sturdy and add acrylic ice to stay firm. After that, you simply add water and a floating candle if you wish and you have easy, DIY, elegant and classy centerpieces! Add tea lights and additional candles to the tablescape to really bring the elegance! Each stem of calla lily costs $7.00 which means you can create 3 centerpieces for just $21.00 (not including vase and acrylic ice).
