When creating bouquets and arrangements for a woodland or enchanted forest theme, burgundy anemones add that perfect touch. The deep, dark red hue is subtly accented by a blue hue in the center, making them a great choice for complementing other similarly-hued blue flowers such as Veronica and stock flowers. There are so many creative ways to incorporate this whimsical flower when celebrating special events. We especially like to use them throughout the fall and even into the winter months. Burgundy anemones bear a strong resemblance to poppies and are especially popular with brides who are looking to create a floral design that is unlike the typical wedding arrangement. For a striking bouquet, consider assembling burgundy and white anemones with deep red ranunculus, wine mini calla lilies, white Veronica, bells of Ireland, green hypericum berries and sprengeri fern. Burgundy anemones are also stunning when placed side by side with various succulents, thistle and cymbidium orchids. For those who like to incorporate symbolism into their events, anemones are often thought to be associated with anticipation and unfading love, good luck, and protection against evil.

Anemones will arrive closed, but give them a sharp, clean cut and place them in lukewarm water to help them open up in no time! We recommend to support their stems by placing them in a tall vase while they rehydrate. |
Suggestions: | Burgundy anemones pair beautifully with blush and pale pink flowers such as quicksand roses and light pink spray roses. |
