Wedding season is well underway and we’ve seen some great events, but even better bouquets this summer! Brides have been walking down the aisle at the beach, desert and across the globe, holding beautiful bouquets! We’ve been noticing a few trends that we can’t help but share with those of you planning a wedding, so here’s a roundup of some of our favorite summer bouquet styles!
Breezy Beach
Whether it’s an intimate ceremony on the sand or an elaborate affair overlooking the coast, nothing says summer like a beach wedding! We love the soft, airy feel of a beach wedding bouquet. You can easily achieve this look with clean white blooms like Garden Roses or Anemones, surrounded by wispy greens like Bear Grass or Myrtle.
Dusty Heat
Dreaming of a desert wedding surrounded by scenic canyons and a glowing sunset? Stick to flowers with muted and dark tones, and experiment with rough greens and branches. Think Blush Roses with Dahlias in cream, burnt orange or deep red hues, matched with Olive Branch and Curly Willow Tips. Since they’re a part of the cactus family, Succulents would be an excellent addition!
Natural Chic
Greenery has been a hit this summer and it’s not going anywhere any time soon! While trendy at the moment, an all greens bouquet is a timeless choice for the minimalist bride looking to have a simple, but elegant wedding. Look for lush greens like Dagger Fern and Eucalyptus Silver Dollar, use filler with small blossoms or drooping stems like Queen Anne’s Lace or Amaranthus.
Tropical Paradise
If you can’t take your wedding to the islands, bring paradise to you! Bright, bold blooms against large leaves and unique textures are the essence of a tropical paradise bouquet. Tropical flora like Anthurium and Protea Pincushion are perfect paired with greens like Tepee, Monstera, and Sago Palm.
Endless Sunshine
Planning a classic summer wedding in your backyard or a beautiful park? Keep it simple, but fun, with whimsical flowers in bright, happy colors! Sunflowers and Gerbera Daises are great focal flowers; daisies come in a variety of bright yellows, oranges, pinks and reds! Just pair them with Aspidistra or Italian Ruscus for an easy, fun summer bouquet!
